Note: The number of vacancies is tentative and subject to change based on the final decision of MHA. 
Additionally, employees are entitled to several benefits, including:

• Special Security Allowance (SSA): 20% of basic pay.

• Cash compensation for duty performed on holidays (up to 30 days).

• Other admissible Central Government allowances (HRA, TA, DA, etc.).

The total in-hand salary is expected to be around ₹70,000–₹80,000 per month depending on the posting location. 

🎓 Educational Qualification 

Candidates must have qualified in GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025 in either of the following papers:

• Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC)

• Computer Science and Information Technology (CS)

Along with a valid GATE score, candidates must also possess one of the following educational qualifications: Option 1 – Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) A B.E./B.Tech. degree in:

• Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication

• Electrical & Electronics / Information Technology

• Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering

Option 2 – Master’s Degree A Master’s Degree in:

The degree must be from a Government recognized University/Institute.

🧠 Selection Process

 The selection process for IB ACIO-II/Tech 2025 is based on three major stages: 1. Shortlisting via GATE Score

• Candidates will be shortlisted 10 times the number of vacancies based on their GATE score (from 2023, 2024, or 2025).

• Candidates can choose their best GATE score among the three years.

2. Skill Test

• The Skill Test will be practical and technical in nature.

• It will assess applied knowledge, coding, and core technical understanding.

3. Interview

• The Interview will test both subject knowledge and communication skills.

⚖️ Tie-Breaking Criteria

 In case of a tie in scores, the following order of priority will be applied:

1. Higher marks in Skill Test

1. Higher marks in Interview

1. Older candidate (by date of birth)

1. Alphabetical order of name (first name)

🌍 Service Liability 

The post carries an All India Service Liability — meaning selected candidates must be ready to serve anywhere in India, depending on the requirements of the Intelligence Bureau.
