All 10 Electrical Engineering subjects. Complete notes for fast revision plus exam-level tests for Paper 1 (Part C) and Paper 2. Built by Piyush Wairale, IIT Madras.
SSC JE 2026 Paper 1 is a 200-mark CBT held from 2 to 6 November 2026, and half of it (100 marks, Part C) is Electrical Engineering. The fastest way to score is to revise all 10 Electrical subjects from concise notes, practise subject-wise tests to close gaps, and then attempt full-length mocks under the real 2-hour, 0.25 negative-marking pattern. The SSC JE 2026 Test Series & Notes (Electrical) by Piyush Wairale packs all of this into one course for ₹199.

Electrical is 100 of 200 marks in Paper 1, and all 300 marks of Paper 2.
Your Electrical score decides your rank. Lock it in with notes + tests for every subject.
Get the Electrical Test Series for ₹199| Part | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Part A: General Intelligence & Reasoning | 50 | 50 |
| Part B: General Awareness | 50 | 50 |
| Part C: Electrical Engineering | 100 | 100 |
| Total | 200 | 200 |
Negative marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer. Paper 1 is qualifying (minimum 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, 20% for others) and shortlists candidates for Paper 2.
| Subject | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Part C: Electrical Engineering | 100 | 300 |
Negative marking: 1 mark per wrong answer. Same Electrical syllabus as Paper 1 Part C, but deeper and costlier mistakes. Paper 2 marks decide the final merit list, which is exactly why timed practice matters.
Every subject below is covered in the SSC JE Electrical Test Series & Notes.
Resistance, inductance, capacitance, current, voltage, power and energy; Kirchhoff's laws, mesh and nodal analysis, network theorems (Thevenin, Norton, superposition, maximum power transfer).
Magnetic field, flux density, MMF, reluctance, B-H curve, hysteresis and eddy current losses, electromagnetic induction, self and mutual inductance, series and parallel magnetic circuits.
Instantaneous, average and RMS values, phasors, R-L-C series and parallel circuits, power factor, resonance, three-phase star and delta systems, power measurement.
PMMC, moving iron, dynamometer and induction instruments, extension of range (shunts, multipliers, CT and PT), wattmeters, energy meters, megger, bridges, CRO and frequency meters.
DC generator and motor construction, EMF and torque equations, characteristics, speed control, starters, losses and efficiency; single and three-phase transformers, equivalent circuit, regulation, OC and SC tests, auto-transformers.
Three-phase induction motors, slip, torque-slip characteristics, starting and speed control; single-phase and fractional kilowatt motors; alternators, voltage regulation, parallel operation, synchronous motors and V-curves.
Thermal, hydro, nuclear and non-conventional power plants, load curves, load factor and diversity factor, economics of power generation, tariffs and power factor improvement.
Transmission line parameters and performance, insulators, cables, corona, sag, distribution systems, protective relays, circuit breakers, fuses and earthing.
Estimation of domestic and industrial wiring, IE rules, illumination, electric heating and welding, electric traction, electric drives and motor selection.
Semiconductor diodes, rectifiers, Zener diode, BJT and FET basics, transistor amplifiers, SCR and power electronic devices, op-amp fundamentals.
One course. Every Electrical subject. Both papers.
Concise, exam-focused notes for all 10 subjects. Formulas, machine equations and key facts in one place for last-minute revision.
Test each subject right after you revise it. Find weak topics before the exam finds them for you.
Practise under the real SSC JE timing and negative-marking rules so exam day feels familiar.
The same technical syllabus powers Part C of Paper 1 and all of Paper 2. Prepare once, use twice.
Designed by Piyush Wairale, IIT Madras alumnus and former instructor, who has taught 20,000+ students.

Paper 1 starts on 2 November 2026. Here is how to use the notes and tests in the time left.
Tip: With 0.25 negative marking in Paper 1, a wrong answer costs only a quarter of a right one, so an educated guess after eliminating even one option is worth taking. In Paper 2 (1 mark lost per wrong answer, 3 marks per right one) guess only when you can eliminate at least two options. Mocks are where you learn your safe-guess threshold.

As per the SSC notice dated 1 October 2026, Paper 1 (CBT) is scheduled from 2 to 6 November 2026. Paper 2 is tentatively scheduled for December 2026. Always confirm on ssc.gov.in.
Paper 1 is a 2-hour CBT of 200 questions for 200 marks: Reasoning (50), General Awareness (50) and Part C Electrical Engineering (100), with 0.25 negative marking. Paper 2 is a 2-hour CBT of 100 Electrical questions for 300 marks, with 1 mark deducted per wrong answer. Paper 1 is qualifying; the final merit list is based on Paper 2.
Basic Concepts and Circuit Laws, Magnetic Circuits, AC Fundamentals, Measurement and Measuring Instruments, DC Machines and Transformers, Induction and Synchronous Machines, Generation of Power, Transmission and Distribution, Estimation, Costing and Utilization and Basic Electronics.
Pick one that covers all 10 Electrical subjects, follows the current Paper 1 and Paper 2 pattern and includes notes for quick revision. The SSC JE 2026 Test Series & Notes (Electrical) by Piyush Wairale offers exactly this for ₹199.

Yes. Paper 1 Part C and Paper 2 test the same Electrical Engineering syllabus, so the same notes and practice prepare you for both. Paper 2 goes deeper and carries heavier negative marking.
If you have studied Electrical Engineering before, two focused weeks are enough to revise high-yield topics, take full-length mocks and fix weak areas. Prioritise Part C, revise formulas daily and analyse every mock.
Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, subject to the post-wise qualification and age limits (calculated as on 1 August 2026) in the official notification.
SSC JE posts are in Pay Level 6 (7th CPC): ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 plus applicable allowances.
