Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) invites enthusiastic and eligible students to apply for its Internship Programme 2025 at the UIDAI Head Office, New Delhi, as well as at various Regional Offices and Technology Centres across India.
About UIDAI UIDAI is a statutory authority established under the Aadhaar Act, 2016, functioning under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). UIDAI is responsible for issuing Aadhaar numbers and managing their authentication, safeguarding the identity information of Indian citizens, and driving innovation in digital identity management.
Purpose of the Internship Programme The UIDAI Internship Programme offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in diverse fields including technology, legal domains, media, management, and more. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced mentors, gaining valuable exposure to UIDAI's cutting-edge technology and operations, thereby enhancing their career prospects.
Internship Details
Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, up to a maximum of 12 months
Locations: UIDAI Head Office (New Delhi), Technology Centre (Bengaluru), Regional and State Offices nationwide
Stipend: Monthly stipend provided based on qualification and discipline (ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹50,000)
Certificate: On successful completion of the internship, UIDAI issues an Experience Certificate
Eligibility Criteria - Final year or pre-final year students, or fresh graduates/postgraduates (within 6 months of passing) from recognized universities/institutions in India or abroad
- Minimum 60% marks or GPA average of 6.0/10 in previous semesters
- Technical: B.Tech, M.Tech, Design, Computer Applications, etc.
- Other Fields: Law, Commerce, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, etc.
- PhD/Research candidates in relevant fields (with supervisor recommendation)
Internship Areas & Vacancies
UIDAI reserves the right to modify the number of interns.
How to Apply
- Download the application form [Annexure A] available on UIDAI website.
- Submit the filled application form along with your CV to internship-uidai@uidai.net.in before 10th June 2025.
- If currently enrolled in an academic institute, your application must be sponsored/forwarded by your institute using the prescribed format (Annexure C).
- Include any additional relevant information under "Remarks" in the application form.
Selection Process
- Applications will be screened by the concerned Deputy Director General of the respective office/department.
- A selection committee may conduct interviews (virtual or in-person).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending interviews.
- Final selection decision is at the discretion of the concerned authority and is binding.
Internship Experience and Conduct
- Interns are required to maintain confidentiality of UIDAI’s data and documents.
- A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be signed prior to the start of the internship.
- Interns must submit a project report at the end of the internship.
- Interns are expected to conduct themselves professionally and adhere to UIDAI’s security and code of conduct policies.
- The internship may be terminated early if performance or conduct is unsatisfactory.
Facilities and Support
- Interns are responsible for their own accommodation and commuting.
- Basic lodging facilities may be available on a payment basis at the Technology Centre, Bengaluru.
- Interns must bring their own laptops; computers may be provided only in exceptional cases.
